About Baduku Farm

Where the Forest
Meets the Farm

Baduku Farm is a diverse, multi-crop organic farm in Karnataka, India. We practice intercropping with purpose — Mahogany timber at 10×15 ft spacing, Areca Nut entering its bearing years, Black Pepper climbing our trees, Mango for seasonal fruit, and our newest addition — four thriving honeybee colonies installed February 2026.

Everything we do is guided by nature — Jeevamrutha soil treatments, vermicompost nutrition, drip irrigation, and zero chemical inputs. Every decision nurtures the land for the next generation.

What We Grow

Five Crops, One Living Ecosystem

🌴
Areca Nut
Areca catechu · 5 Years Old
Our plantation is entering its critical pre-bearing stage — targeting 1,200–1,600 kg/acre yields with Mahogany pruned and drip irrigation in place.
Pre-bearing Drip Irrigated Organic
🌳
Mahogany
Swietenia macrophylla · Timber
Planted at 10×15 ft spacing as a long-term timber investment. Canopy pruned annually to protect areca nut below for optimal light regulation.

🌶
Black Pepper
Piper nigrum · Spice Vine
The "Black Gold" of Karnataka. Our pepper vines climb existing trees, making excellent vertical use of space — a high-value income alongside our plantation.

Mango
Mangifera indica · Fruit
Seasonal cultivation adds fresh fruit income and shade regulation. A favourite of our bee colonies during flowering — improving both mango pollination and honey production.

Our Newest Addition

Beekeeping at
Baduku

Four honeybee colonies were installed on 28 February 2026 — our most exciting farm development. Our bees forage across the entire farm ecosystem, improving pollination and producing pure organic honey.

🌸
Natural Forage: Areca nut spadix, Mahogany flowers, Mango blossoms, and Black Pepper flowers provide year-round forage variety.
📈
Yield Boost: Good bee activity can increase areca nut and mango yields by 15–20% through improved cross-pollination.
🍯
First Harvest: Expected October 2026 — pure, raw, multifloral organic honey from our farm's own blooms.
🌿
100% Chemical Free: Our organic farm means zero pesticide exposure — the safest possible environment for our colonies.
